Requirements

The goal for this hackathon is to build user-ready applications using Pinecone together with one or more of our partner company offerings. Here are the success criteria for a winning application:

  1. Pinecone should be a mission-critical component of the application.

  2. The application is ready to be used by users with no technical background, following common usage patterns (logging in, etc).

  3. The application tackles a real-world problem, in any industry you’d like. 

  4. The application should use one or more of the partner tools (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Vercel, Cohere, AWS, Zapier, Convex, etc).

  5. While it doesn’t have to be production-ready, it should offer a glimpse into its practicality and usability, leaving users excited about its potential.

  6. Make sure to register your project to qualify for our partner's credits

Judging Criteria

  • Uses Pinecone in a substantial way
    Judges will assess the importance of Pinecone in the project. The more integral Pinecone is to your solution, the higher your score. (up to 10 points)
  • Solves a Real-World Problem
    The solution should address a tangible, real-world issue. The greater the potential impact, the higher the score. (up to 20 points)
  • Uses Pinecone in an innovative way
    How creative is your application of Pinecone? Innovative use will score higher. (up to 10 points)
  • User Experience
    The application should be easy to use and intuitive. The smoother the user experience, the higher the score. (up to 20 points)
  • Uses one or more of the partner tools
    Each partner tool used effectively in your project will score you additional points. (5 points each)
  • Technical Execution
    The application should be technically sound and functionally reliable. Robust, efficient, and effective solutions will score higher. (up to 20 points)
